I know you just wanna sleep through the night without changing your baby's cloth diaper every hour.
Thankfully we were spared that bit of trouble. We used the charcoal inserts in Lil Helper's Original Cloth Diaper. The charcoal cloth absorbed everything our lil babe threw at it while keeping her dry. The original diaper shell held everything inside- no spills or leaks. Me and wifey, slept through the night. Actually no, wifey still had to feed the baby. I slept through the night as it was my duty to diaper change. Here's why you'll love our charcoal inserts:
Two Inserts: You get two inserts in a pack. One small insert. One large insert.
Keep Your Baby Feeling Dry: The charcoal cloth inserts can hold upwards of 180 ml of moisture and still feel dry. The ideal choice for an overnight diaper insert. No diaper rashes either.
Soothing: The hypoallergenic and anti-bacterial qualities of charcoal will soothe your baby's nasty diaper rash.
Mix it up: Fits all other Lil Helper diapers.
Did you know? Charcoal is hypoallergenic, naturally deodorizing, and anti-bacterial. Most importantly, the dark colour doesn’t show stains.

These are our favorite inserts by far! They are very absorbant, feel soft to the touch, quite trim & easy to use.
We tend to use these at night more often- as they can hold a good amount if babe sleeps a bit longer. But are also great for daytime use, car rides, etc.
My husband loves the simplicity and ease of use. We both noticed & like how dry and comfy babe is when using these inserts aswell. If hubby had his way these would be the only inserts we used!

After reading such rave reviews, I purchased these and diapers. I really wanted to love them. I used them for PP bleeding without trouble, but when it came time for heavier liquids (aka pee), these did not hold up for even a few hours. They repelled and my baby would end up soaking wet, along with the diaper cover, but the inserts were dry.
There is no way these would hold up for the nights.
The owner was dismissive that it was a problem with the inserts. I know I am not using these incorrectly, so maybe it was a bad batch. I have since replaced them with bamboo flats with Apple Cheeks and have had no other issues. Kathryn on 17th Jul 2015
So absorbent!! These are my new favorite inserts asking with the bamboo. Amanda on 17th Jun 2015
Very happy with the charcoal inserts. They are extremely absorbent with a dry feel...no leaks :) We use them night and day as I don't find the bamboo inserts to be as nice. We always use the double inserts snapped together. My LO smiles as soon as we put these on him!! Tracey on 3rd Jun 2015
We have bought the charcoal inserts to use as night time diapers. They have been great. Unknown on 28th Apr 2015
These inserts are by far my favorite of any I've ever used. They are so trim, slim, but yet super absorbent. My little guy is a heavy wetter, but has no problem sleeping 8 hours in these with NO leaks! Amy Perkins on 27th Apr 2015
These diaper inserts are great. They are super absorbant. My 11-week old sleeps 8-11 hours in them without any problems. She is much happier in these diapers than disposables. There is also no need to wash the outer cover if it's just a pee because it doesn't go all the way through. I also really like how they snap to eachother and to the outer shell-no slippage! We have an entire set of charcoal diapers, and are very satisfied with them. Our baby has super sensitive skin, and even the bamboo diapers gave him diaper rash. But the charcoals are great, comfortable, stay dry until saturated, are odor-free, air-dry quickly, and all in all perform really well. I'm very happy with them, and only wish we could afford to order more. Unknown on 27th Mar 2015
LH charcoal inserts wick moisture away from our babe's bottom so well! It's also hubby's favourite insert because it's easy to clean and never stains. kirstienne on 25th Feb 2015
I've only been using the charcoal insterts for a couple of weeks but so far they are the best overnight solution I've found. I used to use a disposable overnight but found my LO was getting a rash. I used these and it has significantly improved. Maureen on 12th Feb 2015
I have 2 covers, 3 charcoal insert sets and one cotton in my rotation for my now 3 month old.
The charcoal inserts are extremely absorbent, I was pleasantly surprised. I use both at the same time for naps and I haven't had a leak yet. When I take the diaper off, his bum feels dry and he's quite a heavy wetter. The moisture is wicked away nicely. I can easily swap for a new insert and continue with the same cover. I have not tried it overnight, so I can't tell how well it would hold up for a 12 hour marathon.
The poop business is also easy to clean off he charcoal and contained within the diaper.
Inserts dry quickly in the dryer, hold up shape nicely and are so easy to snap in and out.
I have to mention the covers: Very pretty and I really like the fit of this one size diaper cover. It is trim even on the lowest setting, fits and covers my baby's bum very well. They are soft, dry fairly quickly when hanged to dry.
I am very happy with this insert, and will be adding few more as baby grows and we move from the lowest setting on the covers so that the double insert fits even better.
Excellent product, I would definitely recommand it.

These inserts are AMAZING. I've replaced all my other inserts with them and couldn't be happier. They are super absorbent, always feel dry and never smell. Plus, they don't stain! Unknown on 30th Sep 2014
Excellent insert, it holds moisture, it doesn't stain, it is amazing. Nichole on 26th Aug 2014
The charcoal inserts are WAY better quality than the bamboo inserts, and well worth the extra few dollars. They maintain their shape after being washed, don't get stained and are super absorbent. Unknown on 7th Aug 2014
I found these to be the least absorbent of the 3 types of inserts. They make up for the fact that they have to be changed more often, though, by feeling so dry against baby's skin. Miranda on 31st May 2014
These are so absorbent we have a hard time telling that they are wet. You don't know just how wet they are until you see how heavy they have become. Colour hides stains and they do not absorb bad doors. Jessica on 7th Mar 2014
These inserts help make the perfect diaper!!! My daughter loves how soft they are and how dry they actually keep get! It's been a few weeks since we've been using the diapers we ordered and by far the charcoal bamboo diaper and inserts are my favorite!!! We definitely get a lot of use out of them!!! We ordered enough to last one day but I can wait to get more!!! It stinks when I don't time when we're going to wash them right!!! Very good inserts!!!! Also the idea of other diapers being white drove me crazy because baby's poop stains (or at least mine does). I love love love that there is no staining on any of the diapers!!! :) great design!!!!! Unknown on 16th Nov 2013
I would never succeed with cloth diapering without these liners. I try to change my baby frequently, but these liners keep him dry even if I miss a wetting. I've ordered a lot of them so I can change the liners instead of changing the diaper every time. Veronica on 6th Oct 2013
These inserts are awesome! I use them on top of my pocket diapers (touching baby's skin) for overnight. Because the Charcoal Bamboo prevents bottom rash, they are great for wicking away wetness and allow for long-time use (overnight). Best part in my book, is that they don't stain and they dry quickly!! Ashley Gallagher on 6th Sep 2013
