To remedy a diaper rash, pediatricians recommend to air-out your child's bum and to keep it dry. Our Charcoal fabric keeps your baby feeling complete even after a full night of use. This stay-dry ability makes Lil Helper's Charcoal Cloth Diaper ideal for use during a diaper rash and for preventing further breakouts.

Most parents use it as a nap or night-time diaper.

The Mayo Clinic says that: “diaper rash is commonly linked to continuously wet or infrequently changed diapers, diarrhea, and using plastic pants to cover diapers.”

All of these issues surrounding irritant diaper dermatitis (IDD) or diaper rash can be prevented by using our Charcoal Cloth Diaper. Here's how:

Keeps Your Baby Feeling Dry: The charcoal inserts can hold more than 180 ml of liquid and the great part is that your child still feels dry. Keeping your child’s skin dry is the best way to remedy diaper rashes -- charcoal's wicking ability lets you do just that.
Lets You Air-Out Your Baby: Most pediatricians suggest that it is best to let your baby go commando or without a diaper to remedy a diaper rash. Our Charcoal Cloth diaper is the next-best-thing to this.
Eliminates the Need for Rash Creams: Rash prevention creams are supposed to create a water barrier to keep your baby’s skin dry. But before application, if your baby's skin is not thoroughly dry, you could worsen the rash by trapping moisture on your child’s bum.

You do not need any rash cream while using our charcoal cloth diapers. Our materials will keep your baby dry and well ventilated without subjecting your child's delicate skin to additional chemicals.

    1. Cute, easy, fit well, and hold in explosives!

I bought these diapers to try cloth and so glad I did! My first batch was from Costco, which I promptly ruined by washing and drying with heat (DONT DO THIS!). However, even with the waterproof lining not so waterproof, I still use them while at home during the day. If I change them right away after a poop or after every 2 hours or so with pee, I have no problems at all. And they have held in EVERY explosive poop which I cannot say for the 5+ brands of disposable diapers I have used (everything from pampers to all types of eco-friendly options). So I am currently waiting for another 6 diapers straight from the company along with some waterproof inserts that I can use with the shells I've ruined. I also should mention the fantastic customer service! I accidentally ordered from the US site (you can tell I'm a new sleep deprived mom haha) and when I emailed this to Lil Helper they promptly remedied everything with full cancellation of the US order, refund, and a new order on the CDN site. This, plus all the little extras they throw in (even with the Costco orders!) and a great sense of humour makes supporting this small CDN company a no-brainer! My only little piece of advice is to follow the prep and washing instructions on their site and make sure you tuck in as best you can the longer liner as sometimes it can wick a bit onto clothing. Also, my preference is 100% the charcoal liners for absorbency, quick dry time and lack of staining or smells. on 19th Nov 2016

    2. LOVE these diapers!

After researching every cloth diaper on the market we decided to go with little helper. First because they are a local Toronto company and also the numerous reviews I read about them were all super positive. When I received our diapers there was even a handwritten note, extra goodies, and a pack of tea! Really great first impression. The diapers themselves are good quality, rarely leak (no diaper can really be leak proof with squirmy babies), and are super cute! I also love that our son can wear them from 7-35 lbs. - another plus with these diapers. I was also amazed at how clean they come out of the wash! The charcoal inserts are basically dry when I take them out of the washer. Don't let other people scare you out of using cloth - these diapers are awesome. I couldn't imagine using disposables again! on 10th Nov 2016

    3. Highly recommend!!

We have been using these charcoal diapers exclusively for over a year and we are so happy with them! They are very absorbent and gentle on our baby's skin.
We started using the overnight charcoal inserts to help with a heavier pee now that our baby is 15 months, but otherwise, we have been so content that we haven't needed to try any other cloth diapers.

    4. Great Diaper

This is a great diaper! It fits great and it's nice to be able to reuse the shells with just the inserts! My baby loves them. on 5th Sep 2016

    5. Awesome Diapers!

This is my first time using cloth diapers and so far I really love them. So easy to use, and the charcoal liners dry so fast! I am glad that they made the search easy too, lots of information on their website about how to use and care for them. :) And the staff is awesome! on 21st Aug 2016

    6. cute diapers

Overall I'm very happy with charcoal diapers that I purchased. They come in a variety of cute prints to choose from, and the charcoal liners are very absorbent. I use them at night with my little guy and haven't had any leaks yet. The double liner is a bit bulky and warm for the summer, but that is really the only downside. These diapers were recommended to me as a much cheaper alternative to the grovia diapers, as the inserts are almost a third of the price. Lastly, the customer service is great. The order that I placed came with a hand written thank you note !! It was a nice touch on 8th Aug 2016

    7. Awesome Cloth Diapers

These are the only cloth diapers that I've ever used on my little one. They are very soft and easy to clean. No stains and no funky smell as long as you follow the washing directions. The only down side is they do add quite a lot of bulk, but the bumble butt is quite adorable! on 21st Jul 2016

    8. lil helpers are so practical!

These are my absolute fav cloth diapers, I'm a mom of four so over the years I've tried about 25 brands, the snap in liners are so easy to use, and clean. However, I do not like the colours or prints, I find them all so masculine and dark, I can see the diapers through all my baby girls clothing. I would absolutely buy more of there were some white, and a nicer pink. on 29th Jun 2016

    9. love the snap in inserts!

I started looking into cloth diapers as a way to save money and quickly hot overwhelmed by all the options out there. As soon as I came across this website I was hooked! I love the snap in inserts! They are fast to change and mean way less laundry! on 29th Jun 2016

    10. I don't know what I was scared of!

I am a 22 year old mother of 2. My almost 4 year old daughter is quite and handful but even so I decided to make the commitment to cloth diapering. After weighing the seemingly endless options, I landed on lilhelper diapers. I am only a week in with my newborn but I absolutely LOVE them. I ordered a relatively small stock to try, but now time to buy them all!!

ps I want more prints, girlie ones :) I will buy them all.

    11. best diapers ever!

These are by far the best cloth diapers that we've used! No leaks! No smells! We use charcoal during the day and bamboo at night! Wish I would have found these sooner, before I bought a bunch of another brand that are leaky, smelly and no longer get used! on 20th Jun 2016

    12. Night time dream

This is the only diaper we use at night. No leaks!! on 26th May 2016

    13. Will never use disposables again

No smell, easy diaper changes, easy to clean; I'm in love with these lil helper diapers. Also, my son doesn't fuss as much with these vs disposables. I'm so glad I found lil helper, Thank you! on 21st May 2016

    14. Love it!

I love everything about this diaper and this company! I recommend it to everyone considering cloth diapers. Besides the very desirable qualities of a cloth diaper that includes ultra absorption, leak-proof, soft to touch and the cutest prints and colours, my favourite quality has to be how fast these diapers dry! Amazing and far superior of any other diaper I've tried!

I also really respect the company in there efforts to be ethically and locally made! Great job all around!

    15. love my Lil' Helper Cloth Diapers

My little guy is a lean boy. I tried a few brands before that didn't work at all; leaks and changing every hour!! I was ready to throw in the towel with my hopes of cloth diapering, when I saw a YouTube ad for Lil' Helper. I asked around and they were recommended! I ordered their first time buyers cloth and tried it! It was a dream come true! No leaks, amazing fit and was able to change my LO after 2-3 hrs.

I have wanted to use cloth to reduce the amount of chemicals my son is exposed to, save money and help the environment. Lil' Helper diapers are amazing! Highly recommend them :)

    16. Space Dipes for the Win!

Lil Helpers charcoal cloth diapers manage "situations" like no other. They keep our lil' guy (and his clothes) pretty dry, which leads to happier diaper-area skin, and ultimately a happier baby. The fit is also nice and snug, preventing unsavoury leakages. Magic! on 20th Jan 2016

    17. Never disapointed

We have so many LilHelper charcoal diapers. Our daughter is now 15 months and we've been using them since 2-3 months. A few months back I sold my other diaper brands in order to buy more LilHelpers. They are the only diaper we use now.
If I had one recommendation to make (although I think they are working on it), would be a higher rise. I fear she will outgrow them before she's potty trained. I'm hoping they come out with the higher rise in the next few months so I can get them in time! :)

    18. Love these so much we sold off a bunch of our other diapers to fund more!

We love our lilhelpers. They are the only diapers that have stood up to our heavy wetter little guy. These are trimmer than our other diapers. The charcoal bamboo leaves my little guy feeling drier longer. The insert snap system means no stuffing. I would recommend these to anyone wanting to cloth diaper! on 15th Jan 2016

    19. love these diapers!

Super cute, and super easy to use! Hubby even has an easy time using them! on 12th Jan 2016

    20. You will love them!

Love our lil helpers. The snap in liners are so easy to use and very absorbent. Started using them around 8lbs with a great fit. Daddy loves them too. As a bonus, the customer service is outstanding. They truly go above and beyond. How refreshing. on 4th Dec 2015
