To remedy a diaper rash, pediatricians recommend to air-out your child's bum and to keep it dry. Our Charcoal fabric keeps your baby feeling completely even after a full-night of use. This stay-dry ability makes Lil Helper's Charcoal Cloth Diaper ideal for use during a diaper rash and preventing further breakouts. Most parents use it as a nap or night-time diaper.

The Mayo Clinic says that: “diaper rash is commonly linked to continuously wet or infrequently changed diapers, diarrhea, and using plastic pants to cover diapers.”

All of these issues surrounding irritant diaper dermatitis (IDD) or diaper rash can be prevented by using our Charcoal Cloth Diaper. Here's how:

Keep Your Baby Feeling Dry: The charcoal inserts can hold more than 180 ml of liquid and the great part is that your child still feel's dry. Keeping your child’s skin dry is the best way to remedy diaper rashes- charcoal's wicking ability let’s you do just that.

Let’s You Air-Out Your Baby: Most pediatricians suggest that it is best to let your baby go commando or without a diaper to remedy a diaper rash. Our Charcoal Cloth diaper is the next-best-thing to this.

Rash Creams Not Necessary: Rash prevention creams are supposed to create a water-barrier to keep your baby’s skin dry. But before application if your baby's skin is not thoroughly dry you could worsen the rash by trapping moisture on your child’s bum. You do not need any rash cream while using our charcoal cloth diapers. Our materials will keep your baby dry and well ventilated without subjecting your child's delicate skin to additional chemicals.

    2. Better than expected!!!

I started using these diapers on a trial basis after a recommendation from a friend. Almost immediately I knew that I was going to use these diapers long term. Easy to use, easy to clean, and great colours! Less leaks than disposable diapers by far!!! I would definitely recommend these tO a friend!
The customer service and personalization of each order was beyond what I expected. I love knowing that my business is important and that I am helping a great Canadian company.

    4. Can't say enough good!

I fell in love with Lil Helpers while I was feverishly researching the chaotic world of cloth diapers in my second trimester when I realized how unprepared I was for our new baby. Site after site, review after review, I felt increasingly overwhelmed with all the information and options out there. I was ready to give up for the day when I stumbled upon another new mom-to-be's post about the fabulous new cloth diapers she couldn't wait to use... that all her other mommy friends raved about. I was intrigued - poo coverings made exciting? Tell me more. Upon landing on Lil Helper's website, all my diaper confusion and information overload went away. I was sold. I ordered a trial first - but actually got so excited about the product that I ordered enough for a couple days soon after for when my baby arrived - assuming I'd be too bleary-eyed to do so then.

Our little darling is 6 months now. We've since ordered enough for 4 days for our stash, and are still huge fans. In particular, I love that the charcoal diapers are so moisture wicking, are practically dry coming out of the washing machine, and clean up from poos right away. Like another poster wrote, if I were to do it again, I'd have loaded up on more charcoals, rather than the 50:50 split I bought with the bamboos. I'd probably have done a 3:1 split on the charcoals as I still like the bamboo for actually telling when my baby is wet (which I'm still monitoring as our guy's weight gain has been slow). The charcoals are so moisture wicking, it's sometimes really hard to tell.

At the moment, the charcoals aren't quite enough to hold our baby through the night - our guy is a very heavy wetter who also sleeps through his wet diapers. That said, in the last week, it looks like he's waking once from the wet diapers, so we may be on a one change a night schedule - in which case, these will be perfect.

    5. Perfect overnight diapers!

I used my Lil Helper charcoal diapers day and night, but nighttime is definitely my favourite time to use them! I find my little one can go up to 8 hours with the charcoal diapers before needing a change over night. I've had minimal leakage and the inserts barely feel damp after using them overnight, which is great for my little one's bum. Highly recommend charcoal diapers to all of my fellow mom friends. on 10th Jun 2015

    6. Best gift ever!

First off, the customer service is #AMAZING and we received our favourite mint charcoal diaper as a gift and we just fall in love each time we put these on our son! Surprisingly, I absolutely love the way the dolls print looks on him as well! These diapers are so easy to use and last an incredibly long time!! #LilHelperLove #ClothdiaperingMadeEasy on 5th Jun 2015

    7. Happy with LH

This is the first diaper we tried and have been happy with it! The cover is not bulky and is very thin and soft. I like the charcoal one as it is soft and easy to clean and dry. on 31st May 2015

    8. my new GO TO diapers!

Honestly, I love these equal to the bamboo for absorption. They have never leaked. The only advantage to these is maybe they don't need liners ? I'm switching from another brand so I will be buying more! on 27th May 2015

    9. Easiest cloth diapers!

These are by far the easiest and best cloth diapers ever!! We love them and just how easy they are to use and clean. In fact grandma has no problem putting them on either! They are reliable, long lasting, and super cute! These are the first and last diapers we will ever try! on 27th May 2015

    10. loooooveeee this product!

We've been using these since my daughter was 2 months old! She's now 7 months. When we first purchased diapers, we went with 2 Canadian companies, one of them being lil helpers. We prefer the fit and convenience of lil helpers so we've put our other brand aside for now and are slowly increasing our collection on lil helpers. We are now up to 15! They keep her dry, without rashes even when teathing. I can't complain! Only recomendation I might make is although these are designed as a one stop shop for diapers, maybe consider making a newborn size for thos extra small babies until they fully fit in the regular ones. That was our reason behind waiting until she was 2 months, before then, they were too big even on the smallest settings.
      Thanks lil helpers!!!

    11. my favorite diapers!

I love how these diapers look, feel and fit! I have used them with a newborn all the way up to a preschooler for night time. They make great night time diapers and I've never had a leak! on 24th May 2015

    12. New Favorite Diapers!

These are perfect for over night, my heavy wetter has yet to have a leak, and the charcoal is so soft I'm sure his little booty is in heaven! on 22nd May 2015

    13. Best Overnight Diaper!

The first time we purchased these diapers was for our first baby, when he was battling a diaper rash. They really did help to clear it up and keep his bum drier! Now that our second baby has arrived we ordered several more - they are the BEST for overnight, obviously awesome throughout the day too, and they even fit her at 4 weeks old (11 lbs).
We are SO happy with them, and are telling all our friends who are moms to be to give them a try too! Awesome baby shower gift too!

    14. Soft and Super Absorbent

I love these diapers! The charcoal absorbs so well, and I appreciate the option to use a single or double pad. The micro fleece inside and the exterior cover is the sofest of all the diapers I've tried. The snaps inside are so easy to use and keep the pad in place like a dream. Overall a very well made diaper. Wish my entire stash was made up of these. on 5th May 2015

    15. Super Diapers!

The charcoal diapers are like magic super diapers! It's hard to tell when the little one is even wet! I'm loving the ease and convenience of the snap in inserts too! I'd highly recommend these for you little ones & for the sanity of moms and dads everywhere! on 25th Apr 2015

    16. Great Nappy, Great Service

Lovely looking and great fitting nappy. Love the ease of the poppers to fit the inserts in and take them out. Makes drying really fast. Very happy. on 26th Mar 2015

    17. Great for the night

I love using these for the night time. My guy is a heavy wetter and sleeps for a 10-12 hour cycle. I just change the insert midway through the night to another charcoal set and that's it! Dry bum with zero diaper rash. He wakes up happy and so do I. The only time I had a leak was when I forgot to change the insert. on 13th Mar 2015

    18. LH charcoal dipes are our fave!

The LH charcoal diapers are our favourite diapers because they wick away moisture so well! Definitely our go to diaper as it helped relieve our babe's dry skin from using disposables. on 25th Feb 2015

    19. Fantastic diapers!!!!

From prep to drying to fit to overnight use these have been fantastic! They only require one wash cycle to prep, they dry super fast, they absorb a large quantity of pee!!!! My son is a pretty heavy wetter and I've never had a diaper that can go more than a few hours without feeling wet. This was a completely different and exciting experience. So much so that I bought another set of 3 a week later so that I can have enough in rotation for every night plus spares. on 2nd Feb 2015

    20. Charcoal Diapers

We have just started using the cloth diapers with our 8lb baby (they didn't fit from birth because he was 6lbs 4oz) and the charcoal diapers have been great. If the baby sleeps longer than 3 hours and we can't change him, however, they tend to leak so we have to keep on top of diaper changes. on 30th Dec 2014
