To remedy a diaper rash, pediatricians recommend to air-out your child's bum and to keep it dry. Our Charcoal fabric keeps your baby feeling complete even after a full night of use. This stay-dry ability makes Lil Helper's Charcoal Cloth Diaper ideal for use during a diaper rash and for preventing further breakouts.
Most parents use it as a nap or night-time diaper.
The Mayo Clinic says that: “diaper rash is commonly linked to continuously wet or infrequently changed diapers, diarrhea, and using plastic pants to cover diapers.”
All of these issues surrounding irritant diaper dermatitis (IDD) or diaper rash can be prevented by using our Charcoal Cloth Diaper.
Keeps Your Baby Feeling Dry
The charcoal inserts can hold more than 180 ml of liquid and the great part is that your child still feels dry. Keeping your child’s skin dry is the best way to remedy diaper rashes -- charcoal's wicking ability lets you do just that.
Lets You Air-Out Your Baby
Most pediatricians suggest that it is best to let your baby go commando or without a diaper to remedy a diaper rash. Our Charcoal Cloth diaper is the next-best-thing to this.
Eliminates the Need for Rash Creams
Rash prevention creams are supposed to create a water barrier to keep your baby’s skin dry. But before application, if your baby's skin is not thoroughly dry, you could worsen the rash by trapping moisture on your child’s bum.
You do not need any rash cream while using our charcoal cloth diapers. Our materials will keep your baby dry and well ventilated without subjecting your child's delicate skin to additional chemicals.
This is my first time using cloth diapers and so far I really love them. So easy to use, and the charcoal liners dry so fast! I am glad that they made the search easy too, lots of information on their website about how to use and care for them. :) And the staff is awesome! Terri on 21st Aug 2016
Overall I'm very happy with charcoal diapers that I purchased. They come in a variety of cute prints to choose from, and the charcoal liners are very absorbent. I use them at night with my little guy and haven't had any leaks yet. The double liner is a bit bulky and warm for the summer, but that is really the only downside. These diapers were recommended to me as a much cheaper alternative to the grovia diapers, as the inserts are almost a third of the price. Lastly, the customer service is great. The order that I placed came with a hand written thank you note !! It was a nice touch Christine Leboeuf on 8th Aug 2016
These are the only cloth diapers that I've ever used on my little one. They are very soft and easy to clean. No stains and no funky smell as long as you follow the washing directions. The only down side is they do add quite a lot of bulk, but the bumble butt is quite adorable! Diane Rivard on 21st Jul 2016
These are my absolute fav cloth diapers, I'm a mom of four so over the years I've tried about 25 brands, the snap in liners are so easy to use, and clean. However, I do not like the colours or prints, I find them all so masculine and dark, I can see the diapers through all my baby girls clothing. I would absolutely buy more of there were some white, and a nicer pink. Unknown on 29th Jun 2016
I started looking into cloth diapers as a way to save money and quickly hot overwhelmed by all the options out there. As soon as I came across this website I was hooked! I love the snap in inserts! They are fast to change and mean way less laundry! Unknown on 29th Jun 2016
I am a 22 year old mother of 2. My almost 4 year old daughter is quite and handful but even so I decided to make the commitment to cloth diapering. After weighing the seemingly endless options, I landed on lilhelper diapers. I am only a week in with my newborn but I absolutely LOVE them. I ordered a relatively small stock to try, but now time to buy them all!!
ps I want more prints, girlie ones :) I will buy them all. Annie on 22nd Jun 2016
These are by far the best cloth diapers that we've used! No leaks! No smells! We use charcoal during the day and bamboo at night! Wish I would have found these sooner, before I bought a bunch of another brand that are leaky, smelly and no longer get used! Unknown on 20th Jun 2016
This is the only diaper we use at night. No leaks!! Unknown on 26th May 2016
No smell, easy diaper changes, easy to clean; I'm in love with these lil helper diapers. Also, my son doesn't fuss as much with these vs disposables. I'm so glad I found lil helper, Thank you! Bel on 21st May 2016
I love everything about this diaper and this company! I recommend it to everyone considering cloth diapers. Besides the very desirable qualities of a cloth diaper that includes ultra absorption, leak-proof, soft to touch and the cutest prints and colours, my favourite quality has to be how fast these diapers dry! Amazing and far superior of any other diaper I've tried!
I also really respect the company in there efforts to be ethically and locally made! Great job all around! Mari on 10th May 2016
My little guy is a lean boy. I tried a few brands before that didn't work at all; leaks and changing every hour!! I was ready to throw in the towel with my hopes of cloth diapering, when I saw a YouTube ad for Lil' Helper. I asked around and they were recommended! I ordered their first time buyers cloth and tried it! It was a dream come true! No leaks, amazing fit and was able to change my LO after 2-3 hrs.
I have wanted to use cloth to reduce the amount of chemicals my son is exposed to, save money and help the environment. Lil' Helper diapers are amazing! Highly recommend them :) Beth on 22nd Mar 2016
Lil Helpers charcoal cloth diapers manage "situations" like no other. They keep our lil' guy (and his clothes) pretty dry, which leads to happier diaper-area skin, and ultimately a happier baby. The fit is also nice and snug, preventing unsavoury leakages. Magic! Carolyn on 20th Jan 2016
We have so many LilHelper charcoal diapers. Our daughter is now 15 months and we've been using them since 2-3 months. A few months back I sold my other diaper brands in order to buy more LilHelpers. They are the only diaper we use now.
If I had one recommendation to make (although I think they are working on it), would be a higher rise. I fear she will outgrow them before she's potty trained. I'm hoping they come out with the higher rise in the next few months so I can get them in time! :) Julie Durocher on 20th Jan 2016
We love our lilhelpers. They are the only diapers that have stood up to our heavy wetter little guy. These are trimmer than our other diapers. The charcoal bamboo leaves my little guy feeling drier longer. The insert snap system means no stuffing. I would recommend these to anyone wanting to cloth diaper! Jennifer Warriner on 15th Jan 2016
Super cute, and super easy to use! Hubby even has an easy time using them! Unknown on 12th Jan 2016
Love our lil helpers. The snap in liners are so easy to use and very absorbent. Started using them around 8lbs with a great fit. Daddy loves them too. As a bonus, the customer service is outstanding. They truly go above and beyond. How refreshing. Sara Giovannini on 4th Dec 2015
Love the charcoal diapers, good for overnights. They are good quality and they dry really fast!
Wonderful, very helpful staff! :) Laura on 21st Nov 2015
I started using these diapers on a trial basis after a recommendation from a friend. Almost immediately I knew that I was going to use these diapers long term. Easy to use, easy to clean, and great colours! Less leaks than disposable diapers by far!!! I would definitely recommend these tO a friend!
The customer service and personalization of each order was beyond what I expected. I love knowing that my business is important and that I am helping a great Canadian company. Ainsley on 12th Oct 2015
An amazing product and absolutely stellar customer care! These diapers are well made and have a great fit, we love them. I highly recommend this product. Unknown on 15th Sep 2015
I fell in love with Lil Helpers while I was feverishly researching the chaotic world of cloth diapers in my second trimester when I realized how unprepared I was for our new baby. Site after site, review after review, I felt increasingly overwhelmed with all the information and options out there. I was ready to give up for the day when I stumbled upon another new mom-to-be's post about the fabulous new cloth diapers she couldn't wait to use... that all her other mommy friends raved about. I was intrigued - poo coverings made exciting? Tell me more. Upon landing on Lil Helper's website, all my diaper confusion and information overload went away. I was sold. I ordered a trial first - but actually got so excited about the product that I ordered enough for a couple days soon after for when my baby arrived - assuming I'd be too bleary-eyed to do so then.
Our little darling is 6 months now. We've since ordered enough for 4 days for our stash, and are still huge fans. In particular, I love that the charcoal diapers are so moisture wicking, are practically dry coming out of the washing machine, and clean up from poos right away. Like another poster wrote, if I were to do it again, I'd have loaded up on more charcoals, rather than the 50:50 split I bought with the bamboos. I'd probably have done a 3:1 split on the charcoals as I still like the bamboo for actually telling when my baby is wet (which I'm still monitoring as our guy's weight gain has been slow). The charcoals are so moisture wicking, it's sometimes really hard to tell.
At the moment, the charcoals aren't quite enough to hold our baby through the night - our guy is a very heavy wetter who also sleeps through his wet diapers. That said, in the last week, it looks like he's waking once from the wet diapers, so we may be on a one change a night schedule - in which case, these will be perfect. Vivian on 10th Sep 2015
