The Mayo Clinic says that: “diaper rash is commonly linked to continuously wet or infrequently changed diapers, diarrhea, and using plastic pants to cover diapers.”
To remedy a diaper rash, pediatricians recommend to air-out your child's bum and to keep it dry. Our charcoal fabric keeps your baby feeling complete even after a full night of use. This stay-dry ability makes Lil Helper's Charcoal Cloth Diaper ideal for use during a diaper rash and for preventing further breakouts. Most parents use it as a nap or night-time diaper.
All of these issues surrounding irritant diaper dermatitis (IDD) or diaper rash can be prevented by using our Charcoal Cloth Diaper. Here's how:
Keeps Your Baby Feeling Dry: The charcoal inserts can hold more than 180 ml of liquid and the great part is that your child still feels dry. Keeping your child’s skin dry is the best way to remedy diaper rashes-charcoal's wicking ability lets you do just that.
Lets You Air-Out Your Baby: Most pediatricians suggest that it is best to let your baby go commando or without a diaper to remedy a diaper rash. Our Charcoal Cloth diaper is the next-best-thing to this.
Eliminates the Need for Rash Creams: Rash prevention creams are supposed to create a water barrier to keep your baby’s skin dry. But before application, if your baby's skin is not thoroughly dry, you could worsen the rash by trapping moisture on your child’s bum. You do not need any rash cream while using our charcoal cloth diapers. Our materials will keep your baby dry and well ventilated without subjecting your child's delicate skin to additional chemicals.

I was new to cloth when I found out about Lil Helper diapers, and was very intimidated. Lil Helper took all of the guess work out of cloth diapering my babe. Not only are the diapers easy to use, but the charcoal cotton inserts are wonderfully absorbent. We have not had a single leak in two months of use (and my girl is a heavy wetter).
We love our Lil Helper diapers. Amanda Scott on 19th Jun 2017
My husband and I are first time parents. When I first mentioned that I wanted to give cloth diapers a try my husband was a bit skeptical. I did a lot of research and wanted to find a diaper made of either bamboo or hemp due to the fact that they absorb more and are nicer for my babies bottom. That's when I came across Lil Helper! Not only is it simple for my husband to use, but we have never experienced a diaper rash and my LO never gets fussy about feeling wet! I didn't end up buying a diaper sprayer and I'm glad I didn't because with the disposable liners and charcoal bamboo inserts it's super easy to clean up #2s :) plus the customer service is the best! I love getting little treats, freebies and letters with every order! wouldn't try anything else! These are the only diapers for us! melissa hall on 8th Jun 2017
I knew I wanted to do cloth diapers, but as a first time mom, all of the options overwhelmed me. When I found these, I knew they were exactly what I was looking for. They're simple to use and wash, they fit my three month old perfectly at the moment, they have plenty of room to grow, and best of all they're so darn cute! I also love that the prints are all so gender neutral, so I'll have no problem using the same diapers on my next little one regardless of whther its a boy or girl. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone I know.
I originally thought I would have to do a combination or cloth and disposables, using disposables at night. But for the past two months I've been using the cloth exclusively and it works great. My little one has never had a rash, and I've only ever had one poop explosion - and that was my fault as I hadnt quite figured out the best fit yet.
I haven't used any other brands of diapers, so I can't tell you how they compare, but I can tell you that I love my lil helpers! Miranda on 19th May 2017
Have been using these diapers exclusively for the last two years with both of our babes (newborn and toddler now). Highly recommend! Easy to use, to care for, grow with babes and best of all so styling. Always great customer service, you won't regret this purchase! Kristen on 25th Apr 2017
After shopping around for the right reusable diaper for my newborn I finally found one that we both like.
I really like the absorbency of the charcoal insert and how fast it dries. It took a bit of practice to learn which clip goes where but once I did it was pretty easy to change the diaper and make it fit properly.
The customer service and personal touch with the order was great. I loved the note, tea and chocolates.
The design on the diapers is cute as well :) Jeanine Zelko on 12th Mar 2017
I'm not new to cloth-diapering. The cheapest brand on the market happened to work great for my first kid. But after trying five brands of diapers with my second child, a heavy wetter, I was at a loss. Lil Helper is the only one that doesn't have me changing his bum constantly. Bonus 1: it has saved me so much laundry, because I don't also need to do a clothing change at each change from all the leaks! Bonus 2: it also is magically the sleekest fit! Ann on 27th Feb 2017
Love these diapers. They fit my newborn the best out of all the brands I have tried. Unknown on 22nd Feb 2017
I had been thinking to use cloth diaper but here is so many kind of diapers. I was surprised how expensive cloth diapers are in the beginning. I was happy to find the deal of trial diaper deal of Lil Helper. It was enough package to start for new experience. And of course diapers are awesome. They don't leak and easy to take care such as washes. Now I ordered complete pack and excited to switch to cloth diapers life! Yasuko Tambo on 26th Jan 2017
I initially ordered the Charcoal bamboo diaper as part of by the way trial pack and I knew right away that I wanted more. I love the colours! The bear print is my favourite though. They are well made poop catcher and they do what they are advertised to do. The liner doesn't get heavy and feel soaking wet like another brand that I have and I love that you can snap the inserts in and change them out if the cover doesn't get dirty.
The majority of my stash is this diaper. Buy it. You won't regret it! Unknown on 24th Jan 2017
I love these diapers! I ordered a trial pack before our baby was born and I was blown away by how quickly they arrived, and also by the personal thank you note that came with them.
These are gorgeous diapers and I absolutely love that the insert snaps into the diaper. I receieved some other diapers as a gift and I can honestly say they don't even compare to the quality of my Lil Helpers.
Thanks! Unknown on 2nd Jan 2017
Great quality cloth diaper covers and inserts! Very soft and absorbent, dries quickly, easy-to-use, super cute designs. The lilhelper website has helpful tips to cloth diapering successfully, and the wash routine is simple and effective. Excellent customer service! The lilhelper team is very prompt at answering emails, and are very helpful! Highly recommend! Unknown on 29th Dec 2016
I've used a few other brands of cloth diapers but they don't come with any accessories, the sizing is odd and they don't fit well.
Lil Helper diapers are amazing. They fit very well, I love the designs, they feel very nice to handle and I love that each diaper comes with 2 inserts that snap into the diapers.
We picked Lil Helper diapers because it's a Canadian company, and the price. The price for these diapers is amazing, considering everything you get with just 1 diaper.
My husband bought us the Holiday Surprise pack as our first order and we had a nice surprise with extra goodies along with a hand-written note. Very happy with these diapers, and looking forward to ordering more in the future. Unknown on 12th Dec 2016
These cloth diapers work great and I've never have leaks! best cloth diaper I've ever used! I have looked around at lots of different company's and lil helper is by far my favourite. amelia on 7th Dec 2016
I bought these diapers to try cloth and so glad I did! My first batch was from Costco, which I promptly ruined by washing and drying with heat (DONT DO THIS!). However, even with the waterproof lining not so waterproof, I still use them while at home during the day. If I change them right away after a poop or after every 2 hours or so with pee, I have no problems at all. And they have held in EVERY explosive poop which I cannot say for the 5+ brands of disposable diapers I have used (everything from pampers to all types of eco-friendly options). So I am currently waiting for another 6 diapers straight from the company along with some waterproof inserts that I can use with the shells I've ruined. I also should mention the fantastic customer service! I accidentally ordered from the US site (you can tell I'm a new sleep deprived mom haha) and when I emailed this to Lil Helper they promptly remedied everything with full cancellation of the US order, refund, and a new order on the CDN site. This, plus all the little extras they throw in (even with the Costco orders!) and a great sense of humour makes supporting this small CDN company a no-brainer! My only little piece of advice is to follow the prep and washing instructions on their site and make sure you tuck in as best you can the longer liner as sometimes it can wick a bit onto clothing. Also, my preference is 100% the charcoal liners for absorbency, quick dry time and lack of staining or smells. anastasia davidson on 19th Nov 2016
After researching every cloth diaper on the market we decided to go with little helper. First because they are a local Toronto company and also the numerous reviews I read about them were all super positive. When I received our diapers there was even a handwritten note, extra goodies, and a pack of tea! Really great first impression. The diapers themselves are good quality, rarely leak (no diaper can really be leak proof with squirmy babies), and are super cute! I also love that our son can wear them from 7-35 lbs. - another plus with these diapers. I was also amazed at how clean they come out of the wash! The charcoal inserts are basically dry when I take them out of the washer. Don't let other people scare you out of using cloth - these diapers are awesome. I couldn't imagine using disposables again! Katie on 10th Nov 2016
We have been using these charcoal diapers exclusively for over a year and we are so happy with them! They are very absorbent and gentle on our baby's skin.
We started using the overnight charcoal inserts to help with a heavier pee now that our baby is 15 months, but otherwise, we have been so content that we haven't needed to try any other cloth diapers. Ainsley on 20th Oct 2016
This is a great diaper! It fits great and it's nice to be able to reuse the shells with just the inserts! My baby loves them. Lindsay September 5, 2016 on 5th Sep 2016
This is my first time using cloth diapers and so far I really love them. So easy to use, and the charcoal liners dry so fast! I am glad that they made the search easy too, lots of information on their website about how to use and care for them. :) And the staff is awesome! Terri on 21st Aug 2016
Overall I'm very happy with charcoal diapers that I purchased. They come in a variety of cute prints to choose from, and the charcoal liners are very absorbent. I use them at night with my little guy and haven't had any leaks yet. The double liner is a bit bulky and warm for the summer, but that is really the only downside. These diapers were recommended to me as a much cheaper alternative to the grovia diapers, as the inserts are almost a third of the price. Lastly, the customer service is great. The order that I placed came with a hand written thank you note !! It was a nice touch Christine Leboeuf on 8th Aug 2016
These are the only cloth diapers that I've ever used on my little one. They are very soft and easy to clean. No stains and no funky smell as long as you follow the washing directions. The only down side is they do add quite a lot of bulk, but the bumble butt is quite adorable! Diane Rivard on 21st Jul 2016
